Audio Visual eXchange Luton live soundmaking showcase/workshop will demonstrate how to use the most ubiquitous piece of electronics of the modern age - mobile phones!. The team behind AVXLuton has been running workshops, jams and making videos using DIY/Lo-Fi solutions in and around Luton and now they are coming to Brighton Digital Festival! Our aim is to encourage aspiring/emerging digital art creators to learn how to make original audiovisual pieces with their mobile devices and to existing artists to expand their abilities: visual artists are encouraged to create sound, musicians - to try making visuals. That creates platforms for cross-pollination of ideas and for collaboration. AVXLuton - a collaborative Project: Audio Visual eXchange Luton (AVXLuton) is a visual arts advocacy project aiming to create a platform for new, aspiring and emerging artists of all disciplines to share, learn and experiment with visuals and sound, with the emphasis on cross-disciplinary collaboration. Showcases, learning resources and a free exchange platform for Luton and Bedfordshire artists. Since 2019, the project pilot has supported collaborations with 10+ artists from various EU countries and the UK, ran over 30 hours of live and online programming including live shows and workshops.
